PHNOM PENH: Prime Minister Hun Sen has written a letter of gratitude to the King and the Queen Mother for the congratulatory messages extended to him upon receiving the ”Distinguished World Leader Lifetime Achievement Award."
In a letter directed to the King of Cambodia, dated Monday, 19 December 2022, Prime Minister Hun Sen wrote, "My wife and I humbly present the success that I have achieved on this occasion, which upholds the prestige of the Kingdom of Cambodia and all Cambodians under the motto, Nation, Religion, and King. Especially in light of the prestigious [congratulatory message] from His Majesty the King and Queen Mother of Cambodia, [who are of] the highest reverence and have always conveyed their support to me and my wife on the mission of serving national interests, promoting peace, social stability, and sustainable development globally and regionally.”
The Prime Minister Hun Sen also presented a separate letter of gratitute to Queen Mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk.
He wrote, “My wife and I humbly present the success that I have achieved on this occasion, which upholds the prestige of the Kingdom of Cambodia and all Cambodians under the motto, Nation, Religion, and King, especially in light of the prestigious [congratulatory message] of the Queen Mother of the Kingdom of Cambodia, as well as from His Majesty the King, the highest of reverence."
The Distinguished World Leader Lifetime Achievement Award was presented by the Global Chinese Economic & Technology Summit and the KSI Strategic Institute for Asia-Pacific.
The decision to present this award to the Prime Minister of Cambodia was made after the KSI Institute studied and evaluated his leadership qualities and achievements, deeming him worthy of the award. The Institute noted the Prime Minister’s ability, wisdom, and conscience for the nation and people of Cambodia, acknowledging that he has been working tirelessly to bring Cambodia peace, tranquility, progress, and prosperity.
